Winter is coming and we need your help to ensure that no-one dies on the streets of Wolverhampton on our watch. £10 enables us to provide a homeless person with a bed for the night and to start engaging with about what their pathway out of homelessness might look like. £300 covers the cost of keeping the shelter itself open for the night. Could you help us to get people off the streets this winter and onto a pathway that will lead to them finding homes, developing skills and becoming part of our family?
Social exclusion and poverty of relationship are at the heart of homelessness. It follows that inclusion and community are part of the solution. Involving service users creates community. It is about being a community to which the service users have a sense of belonging and acceptance.
Homelessness is tackled by being community and family to those who have none, not by doing things for them and giving things to them.
